Groomer/ Trail Report:
A lot of work has been done on the 252 to include repadding of the sprocket, exhaust manifold as well as tires on the big machine. Grooming has occurred almost everyday and the trails look great because of it. Barry was currently out grooming the Panther Lake Trail during the meeting. Mark Kirkoff has sent out the sprocket to NV, and once this is back the one that was borrowed from Square Valley will be returned. Square Valley was invited to come to our hot dog cookout as thanks for allowing us to borrow a sprocket and they sold 40-50 raffle tickets. Mark will reach out to Square Valley to see if they have any other extra ones to help get us through the rest of the season and so our other one can also be sent out to get repadded.
Groomer/ Trail Report was accepted by Joe Kosecki and Phil Clark
NYSSA Information:
Mark Walker reported that the December meeting was not held and the January Oswego County Meeting was cancelled. The next meeting was to be held on Wednesday.
Margaret Cummings sent out a NYSSA newsletter, currently there are 6,000 sleds, last year there were only 5,700 sleds. Not sure if we are going to get any more grant money from this. Since January 7th there have been two fatal snowmobile accidents and there was one that has just recently occurred.
39 clubs, with 76 groomers with trackers in them. $400 will be given to clubs to utilize towards the purchase of GPS trackers to place in their machines with an annual seasonal cell service.
1,530 snowmobile safety course certificates were issued
Equipment rates will be increasing from 20 to 200%.
They removed the mandatory 3 years GPS update unless your club has had a reroute of a trail. Our club has not had a reroute in over 15 years so we will no longer have to do this if we do not change our trail system.
There is a new Senate Bill S7298 to increase the ATV/UTV weight limit from 1000 to 2000.
The trail grant program instead of tracking everything on a spreadsheet they have quotes out to companies to convert everything over to an online tracking system.
Next Tuesday February 17th at 6pm the town of Constantia wrote out a resolution to include Cook, Roosevelt and Center Street to open up ATV trails across Oswego County. Jay Bergan from Kasoag Lake Bar along with Barrie Green has petitioned to have these roads open for the use of ATV/UTV’s.
The NYSSA forum is coming up in April 24th-25th in Binghamton
2 members per 50 can attend, meaning 10 members can attend. The full package with dinner included is $82 per person. The club will pay $164 for the members to attend. But you will have to pay for your stay at the Double Tree Hotel.
Two $50 Walmart gift certificates were purchased from the club and presented to the ladies at Tax time for helping us achieve our 501-C3 so the club is now officially tax exempt.
The club's snowmobile was reregistered for the season.
The hot dog roast had 60 hot dog sales with 120-130 left. Sheryl from the Sandbar donated rolls and chips. Mark spent $241 with the purchase of water, hot dogs, condiments and propane. $90 was also given to the guys at McIntosh pallet for them loading the pallets used at the roast.
There was a collection of $292 in donations, equaling a $50 profit.
Due to the amount of leftover hot dogs and rolls there's a proposal to utilize them at the cook out that Corky would like to host at the Warming Shack in May.
The Vintage riders are also proposing a ride out on March 7th weather permitting to meet at the Warming Shack. Wendy Clark volunteered to cook the hot dogs at this event if it does go through.
Chairman's Report
$20 raffle tickets for a .2 with 40 tickets total to be sold. As of the meeting Brandon had sold 10 of those tickets. $165 dollars into the raffle and once all tickets are sold the club will profit $635 on a $100 gun.
IRS forms for the federal part have been completed and we have an EIN number. The state portion which is ST-119.2 still needs a few things to be completed. Mark Walker volunteered to help complete this process for the club. This will allow us to create a VENMO account and will also allow the club to not have to pay taxes on items purchased for the club's use.
The grooming and maintenance hours need to be uploaded onto the county spreadsheet via the thumb drive and submitted to the state. Mark Walker and Nic Patchen will take charge of submitting this.
Pete Iannzito wanted to mention Chris Bruinsma who donated hamburgers and rolls for the cook out at the Warming Shack.
Once the state paperwork is completed we can place an order form and VENMO link on the web page and FB for people to place orders for merchandise.
Motion to A jorn the meeting by Brandon Manning Board Chairmen in the absence of Stephen Metcalf club president at 1951 accepted by Joe Kosecki and Steve Corsette.

Chairman Report:
Blizzard bag donations were a huge success with an entire car load of canned and dry goods being brought to the VFW. An entire car load was dropped off to Oswego County Opportunities building in Mexico and they were very thankful.
George Barker was the winner of the Henry .360 buckhammer, he was surprised as he didn’t buy the ticket.
Brandon’s stop @ the mancave gun shop and was presented with an offer to benefit the club. Melissa the owner of the shop would sell the club a .22 Henry for $100, so we could benefit from the profit of raffling it off. Retail value is $399 so Brandon gave her the $100 for the rifle and will be in contact with Speedway Press about the raffle tickets.
A thank you to Steven Walker and his computer skills to build a # generator for the ATV raffle. It streamlined the method to running the event as well as bringing the club into the 21st century. It was less time consuming and a better turnout by having the drawing on a Saturday.
Thank you to Buckingham’s Market and Sandbar for their contribution in selling raffle tickets and donating gift baskets to our holiday party. Also thanks to the VFW for hosting the club meetings and events as well as selling raffle tickets. Preferred Power Sports for three $50 gift certificates and any other individuals/ businesses who donated items for the Metcalf's benefit fund. Trail/ Groomer Report:
Report was given by Mark Kirkoff:
252 Bomber has been being worked on at Phil Clark's home. 30-40 cleats have been changed as well as the guides. The fluids, starter, fan and hydraulic belts have all been changed as well as some electrical switches. Phil also repainted the roof where there was a crack and it was leaking. Justin Main power washed the groomer with steam jetting and Matt Bobhausen welded the frame. Others who have assisted in the repairs include Bob Austin, Chris Chilson and Barry Green. Work will be completed by Tuesday Dec 11th. Wednesday evening Dec 12th the groomer will be brought to the groomer barn to pick up the drag. Matt and Mark worked on the BR180 Saturday and got most of the fluids changed. Groomers will be ready by the end of the week.
The fuel tank was moved by Chris Chilson, with it still needing to be hooked up.
Trail Report was given by Chris Chilson:
The trail is in good shape unless there is a blow of down trees. The culverts have been cleaned multiple times but due to the change in weather that has now ceased. The swamp mats have been placed but there was not quite enough to complete all the sections. Dirt was moved in to make the trail wider than 8ft over the swamp mats. John Whitney was contacted about replacing the stop sign on Shacksbush Rd. by Mark, but was unsure if the task had been completed. Fuel is needed for both tanks and will be ordered by Mark Walker. Gasoline at Phils and Diesel mixed with kerosene at the groomer barn.
Chairman’s Report:
Read by Mark Walker on behalf of Brandon Manning. Gun raffle tickets were sold out at Buckinghams with nine more tickets that were not sold at the legion brought to them by Mark. All the tickets at the VFW were sold out. All of the other tickets and money were turned in by Brandon and Chris. As soon as the last of the tickets are sold a name will be drawn for the raffle. Buckinghams has 25 ATV tickets left as well as Sandbar, the legion and the VFW.
Mark Walker mentioned the Blizzard Bags that are offered by meals on wheels to people when they are unable to get their meals delivered due to snow. Those bags are filled with canned and dry goods. Collection of these items goes until January so members are encouraged to bring an item to the holiday party to donate.
Brandon had assigned Mark to formulate a raffle generator. Mark had contacted his son and he was building a program to help randomly make a number turn red after it was selected to help with the ATV raffle. He is still in process of figuring out how to not include the numbers 100,200,300, and 400 from the beginning so those can be added back in as raffles during the day of the drawing.
Lastly he wanted to ask if a list could be formulated for the pot luck so people can include what they are bringing to the holiday party.
Old Business:
Trees have been removed by Chris Chilson off of the bridge by the sandbar. Mark Kirkoff brought a porta power down to rebend the rebar. Pete, Joe and Mark Walker took an ATV down to successfully straighten out the panels on the left side and attempted to straighten out the right side but were unsuccessful. There’s a worry that once hard pack snow is on the bridge that someone may go off the right side due to how it’s angled. It was agreed upon that Mark Walker will get a hazard sign and mark the area so that people are noted
Pete Ianzito had received the design submitted by Doug Shattel from Steve for the clothing. The design included the Warming shack and a picture of Corky on a snowmobile in the foreground. The logo will be on the front with the year that we were established as a club which is1966. Pricing was as follows 24-49 pieces costing $18 for a tee shirt, $22 for a long sleeve, $24 for a crew neck sweat shirt and $29 for a hoodie. There would be a $3 up charge for any sizes XXL and up. Pete was going to attempt to order these items and have them available for purchase at the holiday party with a sign up sheet available to place orders for other items that are wanted.
Mark went to the county meeting and there was an issue with the company that printed the maps for Oswego County. They were going to have Randy print the maps but unfortunately he had gotten sick and was willing to sell the large non laminated maps to the club for $1.00.
Matt, Mark and Barry had gone to look over the groomer that was located in Glens Falls and it was noted to have a lot of issues and it ended up selling. Another groomer was listed for sale at Greek Peak as a parts machine listed for $3,500 dollars. It was noted to be low on fluids but they were able to get running right away. There was also another groomer, a 2008 MP Plus located in Rochester for sale at the price of $35,000 but the owner was willing to sell for $30,000. Joe Abbass is willing to move whichever machine as long as the club covers the cost of the driver and fuel.
50/50 was $142 and was won by Terri Theile and she donated the winnings back to the club
Meeting was adjourned at 758pm by Mark Walker on behalf of Stephen Metcalf and accepted by Joe Kosecki and Matt Bobhausen.

Discussion of holding a gun raffle closer to Halloween
Old Business
Rent for the groomer barn has increased for the season. A need to possibly look for a new place to have the barn as Corky shared with us last spring that he is starting to liquidate his properties.
Steve shared that he has been pursuing the club's 501C3 status and it was submitted on July 29th. He called for a follow up and it’s showing that it’s in the system but can take up to 191 days to have about an 80% solution which would bring us to late October early November. He said that he would follow up on that when the time comes.
The need for land has been looked at by the Board of Directors throughout the summer with multiple different partials as candidates. Steve will bring pictures to October’s meeting to show some of the pieces that have been looked at allowing club members to weigh out the pros and cons for all the properties. There will be a continued need for fundraising to help purchase these properties and build a groomer barn in the future.
Mark Walker brought forward a possible agreement from the town to share land behind the church with the town offering a 99 year lease with zero purchase cost and zero taxes. In return the building would also serve as a meeting hall for club meetings/snowmobile safety courses etc. If the club allowed the public to utilize the meeting hall there would be a possibility for the lease amount to be reduced.
New Business
Nomination from Steve Metcalf to nominate myself Jennifer House as secretary
